maybe I'm jaded but most magic nowadays just doesn't appeal to me.  The tricks are usually a rip off and/ or expansion of an old great.  Because of safety checks and concerns the element of danger isn't really there either.  When you incorporate edited film then what is the real appeal left over?  Some guy dressed funny doing a trick you've seen before and have a descent idea of how they did it.
