Cracked Gauge Cluster

So, when I bought my Monster, it had a crack in the plastic piece between the speedo and the tach, which made a piece of the plastic loose.  I stupidly ignored it and the piece fell off:

So, unfortunately the middle plastic piece is not replaceable...I'd have to buy an entire new set of gauges, which I'm not going to do.  All I want is a way to keep the rubber nipples from flying off, since I assume that they're the best way to keep water out.  Any recommendations?

It is replaceable, just not easily obtainable.

Ask around in parts wanted. http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=63.0

Also, keep checking on ebay for similar busted gages.  I see them going for cheap sometimes because they are broken, and paired to another bike.  Then get the part(s) you need, and sell off the rest again.

Here's an example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ducati-monster-620-gauge-set-damaged

Edit: Disregard that link, the piece you need on that is about to break also...but you get the idea regardless.

Is the clear plastic over the gauges and the middle plastic piece (that I need) all one part that can be removed from a set of gauges and put into mine?

They should be two pieces.

youre not going to believe this, but I recently broke the lens on my guage pod and another member gave me a new one for free. anyway I had to take the very piece you broke off of my guages because we flush mounted mine in the tank and they wouldn't clear with it on. so I have two now. I don't need them both, you can have one. PM me your address and I'll send it your way. Gotta love this forum [clap]

Pasta, thank you so very much!

I have to say, in my 9 years hanging out on motor-related forums, this is easily the coolest and quickest responding forum I've ever been on.   [clap]
