Relocate fuse box and starter solenoid?

Hey all!

I did a search and surprisingly didn't find anything...

Has anyone (I know Stew has) relocated the fuse box on an S4 or on an S4R?  I gave it a cursory look this morning, and it appears that there's one bundle of wires (one circuit/fuse?) that would need lengthened.  What gauge of wire is needed?

I have the Odyssey battery, and it appears that the fuse box might even fit in the battery tray.  The other alternative is under the seat.

It would also be cool to move the starter solenoid up and out of sight once the fuse box is moved.  That would allow me to remove most if not all of the ugly bracket that holds both the solenoid and fuse box.

Thoughts/suggestions?

I've thought about moving the solenoid, but haven't spent enough time playing with it to find room.

It's a big bundle of wires going to the fusebox... never thought about moving it.

As far as the wire gauge, I would think you can just splice in the same size.

Bummer...its because of you that I moved my fuel lines: one of my favorite mods.  That and moving/changing the radiator overflow bottle.

I think I can just cut and lengthen one at a time and match colors...

Me too...perhaps a winter mod.  I think I can do it with some help from the local crew.   ;D

i wanted to do this mod...but with all the connectors. I think u'll need 18 gauge. or 20. im not sure. But its going to cost $$$ to buy that many different colors.
