My Hi beam points straight down. My Low beam is aimed wellenough i can cruise ~55mph on a 2 lane,
that's subjective of course.
With my high beam I'd be up a moose's ass before I knew it.
Not to mention I'd be blind from the bright beam directly on the road in front of me.

Afaik headlight unit is stock, no changes by me, this was my first nite ride.
Low beam is positively hi enough, I did adjust it up to where it is now.

thoughts?

There's a procedure in the manual for aiming.

Basically you park the bike on flat ground 10m from a flat wall...wheels on ground bike vertical, You may need some help.

With the low beam on the height of the lit area should not be higher than 90% of the headlight center line.

This is for Italy. The law in your area might be different.

I'd pull the headlight and see if maybe it is installed upside-down.

That sounds like what happened when I put mine in upside-down.

Wow .... upside down - never discount the obvious - I'll check that.

Upside down housing, I guess 'BOSCH' and 'H4' stamped upside down on the lens should have been
a clue.

Now I see that that crisp cutoff when adjusting the beam, and I can see how the lens refracts the light differently
left (level, oncoming driver friendly) and right (higher up, moose friendly), hi beam is hi!

Thanks for the responses.
