Arrows for 07 s2r 800
«

Has anyone purchased a full Arrow system for their 07 800. I was thinking about getting one and I called a local dealer to get some prices and they told me that Arrow didn't make a full system for the 07 800's.
This all made no sense to me because how is the 07 any different from the 06 model. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I got a full Arrow system for my '07 S2R 800...though I bought it used from someone on another board. One note though, by "full system" I mean I got just the pipes, from the headers back. Maybe the dealer meant they didn't make a full system since there's no ECU like in the Termi kit.

It's hard to get other brands to list the '07 as fitting. It (the EURO3 engine) will run lean without the DP ECU and they are probably reluctant to sell it, even though it will fit.

Will I have to get a DP ECU to have the bike run right, or can I get by with a PC III and open airbox.
Thanks for the feedback

your PC3 should be fine... got a dyno tuner nearby? custom mapping is always best

You can get the DP ECU separate, but that has been heavily overpriced to "protect" Ducati/Termignoni marriage.
Others will have to answer the PCIII question. The only sense I can make of it, as an under qualified tech, is that it's difficult and might be less than well performing on the '07. I have the impression that sometimes the parts and work will end up close to the price of a Termi solution. Have in mind that my conclusions are of low quality, ref "under qualified" tech. You must get firmer advice, but I think my opinions might be worth at least the time it takes to read them?
Take your time, good luck!

Not all '07 S2R800s are E3 compliant, or have the O2 sensors that make the emissions system a closed loop design. Mine is one of the bikes that does not have the O2 sensors. As such, you can put any brand exhaust system on the bike and use a PCIII, and a dyno, to bring the bike to optimum tune. And for the bikes that are EC compliant, it is the emissions system, and not the engine, that are compliant. It is the same engine as the older 800 with the only difference being the catalytic convertor, the O2 sensors and the ecu software to go with them.

didn't realise that some of the 800s might be closed loop...

I didn't either for a long while. Took a lot of research to actually come up with that. But after chatting with Will long and hard, then talking with guys at PowerCommander and FbF it became apparent that some (maybe a lot) of the bikes are more mod friendly. Hooray for me!

Thanks for the input guys. My bike is definitely one of the ones without the O2 sensor.
I think i'm going to pull the trigger on arrows and the PCIII tonight. Anyone know about how much it might cost me to get the bike dynoed? And also how do the maps that come with the pcIII work because it will probably be a little while before I can get the dyno done.
Thanks for all the help

I am pretty sure that PC has a stock map specifically for the Arrow full system on the 800. Should work pretty well if they do. Just check their web site and see what it says.
