Thinking about riding over to OC Sunday and back on Monday.  Looking for a nice route.  What's Coastal Highway like?  I could ride to Rehoboth and run down Coastal to OC.  I live just north of B'more, so I also have the option of riding up and over the bay instead of hitting the bridge.

No such thing on a Duc IMHO, now on one of my cruisers I know a few roads. But this weekend will be traffic, traffic, and more traffic, Goggle Maps could be your friend, look for the most indrect, obscure roads you can find and good luck. - Gene

Yeah, I am gonna have to say this weekend will sux for traffic. Especially on Coastal Hwy. But for future reference the best way to get the the beach at least from B-more is to go up and around. Rt40 to 896 to 301 to 404. There are also a lot of side routes to take along this route. Also if you end up getting on 404 or near that area it is a nice ride to Rehoboth and down to OC on coastal hwy, just not usually on a weekend during the summer.

I'm also planning on going to OC on Sunday (as long as I find a dog sitter). I might leave Saturday night if my ass isn't hurting too much from Tim's ride through the Shenandoah's, but I think early Sunday morning is most likely.  I know a couple back roads that pop in and out of 404 and put me on Fenwick Island. (The majority of the ride will be on 404 though) I'm leaving from DC, so we could meet in Annapolis if you want to tag along.

If you guys are gonna have a stopping spot in the area(Fenwick, Rehoboth, OC), post up I might be able to meet up as I am out here on the shore(SBY). Dogfish Head in Rehoboth or the Brewery might have a tour in Milton, DE?

My plan is to leave around 8am and get to my place just outside of Fenwick before noon. I'm meeting up with my 'rental units and their hogs there, then we'd be down for meeting up somewhere for a brew. It's kind of hard to say exactly when that will be though with all the traffic. If you want to meet up, PM me your cell phone and let me know how much advance notice you need to get over to the beaches.
