Anybody else catch that special on Nat Geo last night?  It was great to see the 1098 rippin' around the track in HD.   8)  [thumbsup]  The overall content was a little 'soft', but there's some great Ducati footage and I thought it was worth watching.

They interview Neil Hodgson and the documentary shows how the Alpinestars people make custom suits.  Time is spent on the 'airbag' suit, and there's an interview with Giacomo Agostini, too.

I have a Hit-Air airbag jacket, haven't had it go off yet but I definitely feel that I will stand a better chance with it when that 16 year-old texting driver rear ends me at 30mph. I really don't know why this technology hasn't gone mainstream in the US. Interesting video here.........

I enjoyed the program. Can't help but like anything with that many shots and sounds of Italian motorcycles in it.

Ago has been a hero of mine for years and is a good example of a gentleman growing old with grace.

Fitting that Neil is from the Isle of Mann, he is so the Man - I've always liked him and followed his racing with interest.

I was surprised at how much testing and development Alpinestars does.  Good stuff.  Gotta get some new gear.

Thank goodness for public TV or I'd have far less to watch as otherwise it's mostly a vast wasteland.

I saw 15 minutes of it.  I too was amazed at how much goes into an Alpine Stars suit.  Too bad the next showing is Sunday at 2 am.

Hahahaha that news video was retarded!

"...There's been NOTHING for your body...  until now!"       ??? what?

Then we see a guy from a "Motorcycle Safety" riding group, who rides around with a half helmet, vest, slacks, and shoes.  Brilliant.

Great footage...

It was really hard to tell that MV, A-Stars and X-Lite helmets were the major sponsors of the program huh? lol

Great footage, good times.. ANything that shows motorcyles as responsible is a great thing.
