Hey folks, I am after some advice on where to get the best value/quality on some bling items please. Thought there might be some forum members who know about such things  Wink

The list of need is:

1. Brake and clutch master cylinder reservoir covers. My bike has the coffin style reservoirs the same as a 620 Monster. Anodised gold colour.
2. Frame plugs. Need them for the four engine mounts and the two swing arm pivot bolt holes. Another two small ones for the clip ons would be good too in anodised gold finish.
3. Front sprocket cover in you guessed it anodised gold.

Have looked around the forum advertisers with only partial success. Also tried fleabay, but I dont trust the look of the supplier, and he doesn't have all that I want. Any advice?  Huh? Spider Imports? Matty? Big T? Jukie?

Bling gurus, step up please, your help is needed   Evil

hi ty,
regarding the gold bling, i did find it hard to match, so you might want to be mindful of this.  the reservior caps i got from moster parts. the caps are a light gold and is a good match for the fuel cap.

The non "pre-loved" bling I have bought came from CACycleworks and Carbonworld.

They are both extremely good to deal with and ship fast too. waytogo

I got my reservoir covers here...

They also have frame plug sets, but I'm unsure if they will fit Monsters.

I got my MPL plugs from RageMoto http://www.ragemoto.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=68_146_98

Old Monsterparts is in my Shit books at the Moment, I had some parts fail under Warranty, advised Jeff of the Problem, Jeff said he would look into it, I waited for about 3 or 4 week with no response, I sent more Emails to him asking for updates/follow up, and he refused to answer.
So he can get bent, I spend my money with others now, considering how much I spent with him.
Not impressed!  Angry

The place Stopintime has put up is where I have got my frame plugs ans covers (when I had 620)

If you buy through his website he usually doesn't charge any shipping.
http://carbon-trader.com/main.htm

I have also just bought from this place this week. www.revercorsa.com
Paul the parts manager is excellent, also not charging shipping.

If you need anything else just ask.
cheers
Matty...

could you consider getting all the parts anodised the one colour? (the sprocket cover is plastic isn't it....well that would have to be replaced....but I really don't think a sprocket cover should be too blingy.

could the reservoir covers be stripped back and then anodised?

and I've never done any research into frame plugs.

so.....sorry....I'm not much help on that.

Cairns, check your inbox, PM coming concerning your problems.

I just fell off my keyboard, but I'm okay now.
It's all about bling (and riding) but also bling, tastefully applied of course.

Thanks Jukie  waytogo Yes, the gold can be hard to match with different variations. I lucked out with a good match between some bar ends and CRG levers.

Matty - your pre-loved levers have started something  Evil

Stopintime, Yellow Meaine and CairnsDuc - thanks fior the advice

Spider, Spider Spider. I too nearly fell off my chair/keyboard.  Shocked And here I was thinking you were the Mace Windu of bling  cheeky
