Italian Motofest in Shepherdstown, MD

I managed to miss you too, Travman, but Im sure you saw my bike.  It was the incredibly dirty Monster with blue wheels, still loaded down with luggage, parked next to yuu's gorgeous CF'd M900.  It was definitely nice to meet you yuu!

The Monster dark painted with (I think) bedliner with the QuatD ExBox won "Best Modern"

And I won the "Congratulations the jacket fits you" award!  That Women's Teknic leather jacket that was on the door prize table was presented to me after the official awards.  Pretty freaking awesome!  I guess they were just looking for a girl rider about my size that would definitely use it...and it doesnt hurt that the jacket is blue so it matches the bike.    That definitely made the long wet cold ride down from Pittsburgh on Saturday worth the trip!  Its just too bad the nasty Saturday weather plus the iffy Sunday morning weather kept a lot of people away.  It was my first time attending, and they said it was the worst turnout they have ever had.  

I also was the first to try the ultimate wheelie machine thing.  I sucked but it was a lot of fun.  I finally managed to keep the wheel up without him holding me up there on my last run.

well the weather was one reason I didn't make it.  the other was a close friend of mine I helped pack a pod ( he is moving to Chicago) then sunday, mindy and I went over to help him finish up and we didnt get done until close to 1:30, so maybe next year.

OK, I saw you win your "Congratulations the jacket fits you" award!  Congratulations, I bet that makes the trip worth it. 

By the time they called my name there was a maroon 3XL Moto Guzzi shirt and a black Vespa hat.  I took the hat.  It actually fits.
