oLd Ducati staff at MV?

I just occured to me that the Tamburini and Galluzi left ducati for MV (at different times). Any opinions?

They wanted to work for Harley Davidson all along. This way they did it without losing face.

Actually they worked for the Cagiva Holding company itself -- which was the owner of Ducati at the time.  Thus when Ducati split off and was sold to TPG (Texas Pacific Group), they stayed with Cagiva. (which had the MV Agusta nameplate but at the time no bikes)  Thus why the F4 750 is essentially the offspring of the 916 via Tamburini. 

Tamburini is now retired.  Although I wish he still had one more masterpiece within his soul (and fingertips) to still produce.

Galluzzi designed the Cagiva Raptor series.  He is now with Aprilia.  Last fall he produced a beautiful (very architectural) Monster-esque motorcycle for them that debuted at the Italian motorcycle show in November.

I remember reading about the Cagiva Raptor with it's Suzuki TL1000 engine, but had forgotten about it.  It was a Europe only bike if I'm not mistaken.

There was a thread about the Mana X concept when it was shown last fall.  I was surprised how many people liked it including many with conservative tastes like mine.  I didn't know that Galluzzi had designed the Mana X concept though.

The Mana X headlight friggin' rocks (on the right bike of course). I'd love to have that on my Monstrada.

I didn't know Galluzi was with Aprilia. Nice, equally for the additional info.

The TWIST THE THROTTLE series episodes on MV and Bimota both had nice vignettes on Tamburini. Strangely, he was less focused in the Ducati episode.
