ive seen them on harley and stuff, and one sport classic GT 1000 Sport as a taillight, but not blinkers, thinking of using them on the back of the 696

Funny.  I was just looking at something like that since I have to rear signals right now.  Seems like a cheap, easy, lowprofile way to add blinkers.  Seems like they'd work.

Anyone done this?

BTW Jim, not sure if you had heard, but I moved to Raleigh.  I'll miss the meet-ups :(

DucatiTorrey

yeah how is it there? the last meet up was small, one of the sti kids baught a viper ha ha ha

I have the integrated taillight on my monster and just didn't think those signals were good enough, so I added an amber LED strip to the outside of the passenger grab handles. the strip is black, so you can hardly tell its there until you turn them on.

I started a topic a while back about the same thing :)

There's a gentleman here in Oregon who builds those lights and someone here at work has a Paul Smart with these lights. They look pretty cool. I think he's prototyping a model for Monsters as well: http://pakbikes.net/PS1000LE/FLEDAM001.html and http://pakbikes.net/PS1000LE/FLEDADRWD/FLEDA-DR-WD.html

Here's the link for the thread I started:

I saw them on Bones bike, they are very very visable and look really good. You cant even notice them.

I give it a  [thumbsup] and will probably be doing the same to my bike later this winter!

Again, I use it as auxiliary turn signals because you really can't see the integrated turn signals unless you are directly behind the bike.

I see that the kit comes with a flasher relay, did you get/use it?

Bones

i think the electronic flasher I got was defective. I didn't use it for that application (I already had capacitors installed) but when I tried to use it on my other bike it wasn't working properly. not sure if I would trust the cheapo chinese flasher they include.
