....yes, this includes you, Ian!!!

I am gearing up for another round of motorcycle dieting (this is SO much eaiser than person dieting) and the focus of my attention this time is my 2000 750SS.   Having bolted all my 1000SS goodies to it, I've ridden on the street and on the track and guess what?   It's a great bike.  Yeah, I like the later wet clutch smallbore engines (620/695/800) better because they have the later, better power producing cylinder heads, but this 750 is okay; at least it is fuel injected.

Anyway, I haven't weighed it yet, but I think it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 395 pounds or so; the 1000SS trackbike is 347 pounds, and the difference is astonishing.

While the trackbike sits for the winter, I am switching out its BST wheels and Speedcell battery to the 750SS, and as soon as Nate can paint it, I'll put the ETI Fuel Cell on the 750, too.   That should trim about 25 pounds off the little yellow beastie.

Meanwhile, tomorrow these babies are being installed on the 750:

These are claimed to cut 12 pounds.   So at that point, I should be somewhere around the 360 pound mark (without fuel) for the 750 in totally street legal form, with oem plastic fairing and seat and steel front and rear subframes.

I would hate to make it so light that I have to anchor it with tie-downs in the garage to keep it from floating away!

I'd believe they cut that weight. having had a stock Monster can and a low mount Termi, much like your new Marvings, in hand. The stockers weigh a friggin' ton.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.
