Vampire, sorry to hear about your need to sell your SF!!

After a short ride to get my coffee this morning...I came to see that this need/want to get something "NEW" has been an on-going problem my whole life!!
Be it toys, women, cars & now motorcycles...I need to brake this cycle!!

So I plan to just love my M900 just as it is!!
It is great [clap]

Happy Holidays!!

The streetfighter is a wonderful motorcycle. Really, it is light enough to really enjoy all but the goatiest goat trails. (If you have friends on motards, you know what I'm talking about!)

I also wasn't a huge fan of the shotgun exhaust, but the Termis look great, IMO. The other problem with the exhaust design is the heat shield kicks your right heel out, if you ride with the balls of your feet on the peg like I do. A couple of shims and some longer bolts move the peg out, so it isn't a huge deal.

I would say that if most of your riding is in town, or on slow stop & go traffic, you should be looking for a different bike. The SF likes to run fast, and with all that HP on tap, the temptation to lift the wheel on each gear change in a hard acceleration is damn tempting.  The bike really encourages you to do stupid things; your riding IQ will go down 50 points, for sure. But in town it is lurching along and the gearing and clutch pull conspire to make it painful in traffic. You can fix the gearing and clutch slave too, so I wouldn't rule it out, but make sure you have someplace to open it up or you'll go slowly nuts.

FWIW, I love mine and would get it again in a heartbeat.

Micheal Moore,
Thanks for frank assessment of the SF, along with it being out of my price range...it doesn't fit my riding needs...I don't if I am happy or sad!! [bang] [laugh]

And I just saw a photo of the KTM Super Duke, very nice!!
But it too is too much $$$

I will live with my M900
I do love it!!

As well you should, it's a really nice bike.  I never saw the bike with regular bars on it, but it sure did ride nice the way Rick had it set up when the clip-ons were still there.

And as far as the SD goes, come on out to our usual Sunday meet up, you might see one down there pretty soon.  ;)

Yeah, Rick has set this bike up beautifully!!
I came off of a Harley Wide Glide & the clip-ons were way too low for me!!
I love the M900 with the stock bars...I usually don't ride too aggressively so they fit my needs & back!!

I usually work Sundays, but I have been know to take one off now & then
I would like to meet some other DUC Rider's!!

Well, come on out.  Rick and I are usually there each week, as well as a few other guys on SBKs.  Also, Gene brings the SF out about 1 in 4 times.
