So I'm looking to put a helmet lock on my 01 monster and i found these online:
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/74/2796/ITEM/Motion-Pro-Helmet-Lock.aspx?WT.ac=SLIsearch
The only thing that I'm worried about is that they attach to the circle tubes of the frame of the monster, they come in 7/8" and 1-1/4" -1-1/2"
I just don't know which size to order....i would think that it would probably be 7/8" but i just dont know.....so if any of you guys actually know the size of the tubing that the monsters frame is can you please let me know  waytogo

It varies from model year to model year and from one point on the frame to another point on the frame.   All three of those sizes should work on most monster models depending on the year and where you want to mount it as I stated before.

Best thing is to first decide where you want to mount it on your bike and then measure for that mounting location.  When you take a closer look at your bike and the frame dimensions you will notice that they vary depending on what part of the frame you are looking at.

I know this probably doesn't really help but it's pretty much an open ended question.

I use one of these
cheap light portable and locks onto my bar end mirrors so no scratching the frame
and your helmet isn't near the ground .

I use barends for the frame plugs for my tail chop. So 7/8 will work? I'm pretty sure the lock is for handlebars anyways.
