Aprilia will fix em all, not to worry.  This ain't their first rodeo.

The RSV4 is a hell of a good design and one hell of a good deal when we consider what the buyer gets for what he pays.

BMW has had the same trouble in the past with con rod failure on M3's didn't they?  They're still highly prized - at least by me.

When one considers what that piston and con rod does - passing the same point in the bore 333 times per second at 10K rpm (is that right?), it's amazing that anybody's design can survive that kind of abuse.

How the make the beast with two backs do car engines last for over 200k miles?  It's beyond me.

My Dodge Dakota is coming up on 200k miles.
3.9 liter engine, producing ~175 HP.
It hardly ever goes over 3000 rpm.

4x as big as my S4 engine, less than 2x the power.
My S4 engine is hardly ever *under* 3000 rpm.
