btw, what does your home network topology look like? Do you have a single router attached to your fios connection?

the network is verizon's all-in-one Actiontec router which is WAN, ethernet and wifi in one.

every other device works fine, i have no problem using internet/etc

i took my TA to my neighbor's house to test it -- plugged into his Cox router and it worked just fine.  my blackberry connected just fine to the Barnes & Noble wifi today and had no problem making calls.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

the phone has to support wifi, the iphones do and some blackberry's do as well.

I have a Bold 9000 through AT&T and know I have wi-fi on it.

So while at home, when connected to my home network, I can make free calls?

it depends on your calling plan.  tmobile's basic wifi plan allows you to connect to wifi calling but charges you against your minutes.  yes, it's stupid but that's how they do it.

back to my problem...
