That's an 848/1098 tank.

I didn't see an aluminum tank listed for the Monster.

Got a link?  Because that would be cool.  I want to get rid of my plastic tank.

i meant, do they have them for the classic monsters? cause if they have them for SBKs, that just means they are able to manufacture them....its a matter if htye want to make them for the monsters...

i've seen the original monster tanks in aluminum from some japanese tank maker, the big deal is that they are something like 2-3k dollars, they look liike quality work but they are expensive if you have the cash.

OEM

Ducati Corse Special Edition
The winning of both the 2009 World Superbike and Superstock Manufacturers’ titles is a fitting stage on which to present two exclusive and exciting special editions built to mark the historic introduction of a new Ducati Corse logo. The 1198 S Corse Special Edition and 1198 R Corse Special Edition are both equipped with factory team-style aluminium fuel tanks, Ducati Traction Control and a special celebratory Ducati Corse livery.

Yeah, beater is your best bet - too bad Ducati doesn't offer one for the Monsters as the price is much lower on the DP alloy tank than any after market that I've seen.

Road Racing made one. I had one . fell in love with it. Want one.

I settled for a steel tank. just going to powdercoat it with a reflective chrome. Itll look close enough.
