hey I was going to mod my airbox, I had a look at the factory ducati modified airbox and I am thinking I will get it, but given how it opens the whole top up and I already have arrow pipes, inevitably it will run lean so any advice on what ECU mods I can do or what ecu I should buy, power commander perhaps Huh?

Yup. We need to know which monster you have. Some seem to have little to no problem with an open air-box, others (S2R1K's come to mind) seem to have much more finicky fueling.

I cut the top off my air-box today. I'm following Vin with full arrows and will be adding the DP ECU from Desmo-Porsche.  waytogo

On an 01 or 02, you can have the trim adjusted so you are not running lean.

I thought Trim was just near idle?

Pretty much.  Trim adjusts the duty cycle of the injector (the time the injector is open).  The effect diminishes as RPM goes up, therefore the biggest effect will be at low engine speed.  Far from ideal, but a lot cheaper than a power commander and is often sufficient for many owners.
