See me post regarding coating the tank and reinforcing it at the hinges.  I have 14k miles on that tank without leaks.

The S2r I bought the original unpainted one from was alumunium orignally.  Itwas plug and play for me

Don't still have that alum. tank laying around do ya?

If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

I like the AL more than the carbon.

does someone have a pic of the DP titanium tank?  I heard it's very rare.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

i DO have an old parts catalog with DP Titanium trellis-inspired rearsets for the DSS Monsters

Fitted a DP (I think...) CF tank to a customer's S2R1k.

*None* of the stuff from the plastic tank will work, other than the rubber pads and the latch.

All of the stuff inside had to be like the steel IE tanks.
Fuel level sender, pump, screen, filter.
Needed the hinge and rubber pad from a steel tank bike.
All that stuff was quite expensive.
