ducati 1000ss question

Can anyone help me?
My brother is about to buy a 2003 1000SS and has asked if there is anyone has modified one of these bikes (other than the usual stuff clutch cover etc) and if there is a forum that you would suggest he look at?

Like what sort of Modifications are you asking? The SS, and the 1000 monsters of the era share a lot of parts - so even if someone hasn't done a 1000SS, some of the work on a monster might be comparable.,

Knew a guy who had a 2005 SS1000i.e. who did head porting, a 1078cc hi-comp kit and (I think) hi-perf camshafts too. Said it was awesome!

As far as the forums go, this one here will be able to answer almost all the questions you ask. The engine is exactly the same as the 2003 M1000Si.e. and there are a lot of members here who (like myself) have also worked on or own (in my case owned) some 1999-2007 SS's.
