Anyone familiar with the 06 Porsche Cayenne wiring harness.

I suppose I should sign up and ask this on a Porsche forum but I know there are a couple of experienced porsche guys around, so here it goes anyway.

I've been tasked with installing an aftermarket (VIM) reverse camera system in an 06 Cayenne that integrates with the factory nav screen (PCM)
once the camera is mounted on the tailgate I have to route the wiring for it back to the RGB interface under the dash. Since I want to route the wires along side the rest of the harness, but don't want to remove more of the interior then necessary. I was curious if anyone could tell me if there was one side that the harness runs down more directly/predominantly, since from looking at the rear hatch it appears there is wiring running out of both sides of the car.

Also, does anyone know where I can find wiring diagrams or harness info for this car. I'm striking out on all of my usual searches.

Thanks

Never played with the aftermarket cameras, just the oem ones.  There are harnesses all over the car, top, bottom, sides. Your best bet would be to route it alone. There is a major harness along the right rear fenderwell that runs forward.  I would route yours on the left side.  In my experience aftermarket wiring can cause interference with the can-bus wires in the main harnesses if routed to close.  There are lots of can-bus wire and they are easy to find because they are twisted together their whole length.  You will also find two large orange wires routed together.  These are not wires, they are fiber optics used for data transfer in the stereo and navigation.  Do not bend them tighter than a 2" radius or they will crack.  Good luck.  Don't be afraid to PM me with any questions.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm somewhat familiar with the MOST bus system. Had considered, but didn't know about the interference issues with the Can-bus though. So thanks again.
