how many miles do you guys get when your reserve light comes on? i have a monster 2009 696 and at only 13 miles on reserve light i ran out of gas. my 848 gets about 45-50 miles depending on how i ride, so i was shocked when at only 13 the bike died out and wouldnt start. then after putting about a half of gallon of fuel it started right up.

IIRC the S2R light comes on with half a gallon so maybe 20 miles?

The fuel light is supposed to come on with 0.8 gallons left.

It varies from time to time with me. When I first see the light I know to get gas ASAP! It came on once and about two minutes later I was coasting into a gas station.

Typically at least 20 miles, I've gotten a bit more but don't usually push it.

However, since riding a bike without a working fuel light I never rely on it, just use the trip meter every time.

+1. trip meter always... and I reset it in the cage as well now, it's become habitual..
