For my next trick/project, I'll be using a 1000ds motor.

I'd like to use a particular swinger off a SBK, to keep the geometry intact of the already excellent chassis.  Therefore, I've got to narrow the cases on the motor.

MUST I do this by splitting them, and getting a mill ?  I've had a thought about removing material with a cutoff wheel, and then using a lower bracket facing tool for a bicycle to square up the face.  I KNOW there are others on here that have done it, but I can't seem to find where.

Wait, you have a perfectly good excuse to buy a mill and you are looking for other options??????

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.  - HST

would different SSS's bolt directly up or do you have your heart set on a SBK SSS?
