Hey guys,

Last tiem I went to the dealer he said me to look out for leaks at the clutch slave cylinder. He noticed a little puddle the day after I brought it in for service and her replaced the o-ring.

So now I go out for my first ride of the year (no leaking since) and a while later I noticed a little leak arround the clutch slave. So I decided to have a look and took the slave cylinder off. This is what I found:

Is this the old o-ring he had replaced that somehow had worked its way in between the pushrod and the engine or is this another o-ring that's gone bad?

While the clutch slave was off it leaked some fluid.  After a while it stopped leaking though.

I would think it's a bit normal to leak if it's off of the bike. But now I'm not sure whether it's the slave that's leaking or the push-rod. Any ideas?

Is it still safe to ride 20kms to the dealer? I think so, but the o-ring at the engine side worries me.

Edit: I read other posts that talk about o-rings for the push-rod, so I guess those need replacing. Is this esay to do myself?

Yes that's a push-rod o-ring.  You're probaby leaking a bit of oil due to lack of the o-ring.  On a M750, just pull the rod out - you'll notice a groove around the rod where the o-ring goes.  Just pop a new one on there; your dealer should have them (or I'm sure any auto place has ones the same size, though I don't know what size it is).  Put some oil on the rod first to slide it down.  I replaced mine a few years ago; they do wear out due to the spinning of the rod.
