I am going to replace the clutch basket on my 01 M900Sie and I need some suggestions as to what I should buy.  The Barnett basket looks attractive due to the steel inserts but I'm a little worried that it only uses 2024 aluminum.

anything you buy will pretty much work.

If you are interested i have a basket for sale, its the barnet ones. What is wrong with 2024 aluminum? (i dont know if thats exactly what its made of) but the steel inserts certainly make it more durable.

I really like Vee-twos light weight basket but its no longer in production. Nicholas has a great basket too.

I've been running a Barnett basket for a while, it's working fine.

With other aluminum baskets (that don't have inserts like the barnett) you'll need to run aluminum frictions.

not to thread jack. he man, vee two has a ebay store, and they're selling everything off. their username is atggroup. shoot them a message and they'll get back in a day or less.

Schwanger i'm with you on the clutch. the problem i've ran into was what's more cost effective. for me that would be buying a entire clutch assembly.
Motowheel has a basket thats made of 7000 series aluminum for $40 more than the barnett one. 7000 is harder and lighter than 6000 series.
