Is Ducati no longer making the SportClassic Sport 1000 s?

So browsing the Duc website for 2010 models I could not find this in the lineup:
http://www.ducati.com/od/ducatinorthamerica/en/bikes/model.jhtml?model=2395
I'm not in the market yet to get a new bike but if you asked me 2 years ago I'd have thought I would be shopping now, which is why I started casually browsing. Anyways, can anyone confirm if Ducati has gotten rid of these from the new bike lineup?
I was hoping to get a black one with the front fairing and then buy the lower half fairing, I just love the look of those. I am thinking if they killed production it might be tougher to find what I am looking for... whenever I am able to look for it that is...

You should be able to find a used one in good condition, though, if you're willing to check craigslist and eBay. These bikes tend to be garage queens, from what I've seen, and they've depreciated in value pretty harshly, for some reason. I was able to grab a GT1000 (the upright version of the SportClassic) with 750 miles for just over $6000 last Spring, for instance. They seem to go for anywhere from $6K-$9k depending on condition, upgrades, specific model, etc, so if you keep your eyes open you could find a lot of bike for pretty cheap.

I don't get it. Isn't this a 2010 model you pointed out. That is the current Ducati North America website and it lists all the other 2010 models even the newest 796 Hyper.

It's actually part of why I am confused... On their main SC tab from ducati.com I get this:
http://www.ducati.com/bikes/sportclassic/index.do
You can see off to the right the only model listed is the GT1000... but I did some digging to get to the page I linked originally, I think they still have it in the bikes section because it's still in distribution inventory, just no longer in production.
Curious, will my belt and sprocket covers from a 620 motor fit on the SC1000s motor?

Sprocket cover will, I think...belt covers definitely won't

This sucks. I guess sales have dried up. I always wanted one, but was happy with my Monster. I hope they don't let it die. There is more they could do with the Sports Classics. They could upgrade the wheels and brakes so they could run 4 piston brakes. Add the latest 1100 DS engine and then also have a 696 or 796 little brother. Ducati just needs to give the current owners a reason or two to upgrade. I'm sure the plastic tank issue may be affecting Ducati's decisions.
This is sort of like letting the ST series die off. The ST's were great bikes, but I guess they weren't selling enough to renew the bike. I would love to see the ST series right now with an upgraded version of the ST3 engine or maybe even the 1098/1198. Ducati is now advertising the super extended maintenance schedule for the new Multi 1200. That would have really been helpful for the STs.

If you are intterested, my local dealer has a new 09 S on the floor, along with a matching black SC and a GT too.

I really like the retro bikes. If I were going to buy a Ducati again, it would probably be the GT.

The GT will continue this year as a current model but the sport has already been discontinued, this has been common knowledge for well over a year now and while Ducati may attempt to redo a retro styled bike it wont be on the basis of sales.
Even the GT will be phased out at the end of the year as far as I know.
I'm glad I got mine when I did,I daresay there will be stock available somewhere in the dealer network and if you want one get it before this stock runs out, after that its the used market only.

Sweet.
[moto]
Glad I have my 2006 AMS original S1000 Back in Black, minus the mega buck engine work and megaphone exhaust like the DNA bike featured in the Jan. 2007 Motorcyclist magazine. It's a classic and a keeper. Hope the 100 badged BinB bike owners appreciate what they have. That black paint with the gold old school Darma striping rocks! You can thank Giannis from AMS for that. He's now back home in Greece. Miss ya G-man!! Chime in if you see this!!

This is our
Motowheels Sport Classic project
that we built a couple years ago.
Light wheels, suspension, brakes and exhaust really transformed the bike.
