I've become an old man on an old man's bike

We all know Heather is in touring up and down and across our fair east coast.
She couldn't very well ride out of Sydney with a little escort, all be it a bit late and further out of Sydney
than we wanted but still.

Goldie and myself along with a tag along R1 rider (not at all the stereotypical R1 rider) met Heather up in Forster
Wednesday arvo after a quick shoot up the Old Pac a bit of slabbing it then The Lakes Way into town.
Heading out Thursday morning we took in the Buckets Way to Gloucester from there up Thunder Bolts, which is supposed
to be amazing. I'm not saying it's not, just that it's a wee bit bumpy in parts and rippled roads can put you off line easily.
Out to Walcha for lunch and a sticky stair at Langfords, a beautiful 1800's Manor home owned by the Uncle of the
non-stereotypical R1 rider.

At this point our touring party splintered with Heather heading North to Coffs Harbour and R1 rider heading back to Sydney.
The other two of us headed over to Tamworth and were suppoed to be going on to Muswellbrook but got a little side tracked
at the Power House Bike Museum (you'll see why below)
So after an over-nighter in Golden Guitar Country a little town karriokee we set off on the long-ish home-ward leg.
Heading to Muswellbrook (in daylight) out to Denman then onto Bigiain's extra special road through to Rhylstone which
I have to say is the best road I have been on in since WSBK last year. Through to Lithgow and home via The Bells Line
passing the local  Police booking a lucky cager on the way out meaning the coast was clear.

Almost 1200k's in 2 1/2 days and I only saw the fuel light once with generous stops along the way!

Leaving Forster.

The stop at the top of Thunder Bolts Way.

Another fuel drinking Italian

Langfords Manor House at Walcha

The Reason we lost so much time in Tamworth.

Very near to the best road in the West

Three days of road kill, who says radiators are of no use.

The rest of them are here and of course there are a few!

No nothing secret Rob just a quick spin out of town with Heather to make sure she got on her way Northward.
If nothing pops up I'll be meeting H up north-ish again later in the month to ride her back into town.
Join me if you like, no plan yet as to how far up the road I will meet her.
