When I say sliding, I'm talking very subtle, on a casual lean on a 25F morning.

Unless you have ice spikes on your tires or dirt knobbies, they're gonna feel like that at 25F.  You're fine with a 2CT.  It's an even better performing tire than your Roads.  It'll feel great once the roads are warmer and after you've shaken the winter rust off your riding comfort level.

It's gonna be more slippery until the Mould Release Compound has worn off.
Doesn't help that you are at 25F.

You should run tire warmers.  But you'll need a very long extension cord!

pilot road front slips on me when cold. pucker entering the tollway one morning. it was zero fun.
