assuming the previous owner went pretty low into turns multiple times, my rear brake and shifter are both a little crewed up. Was doing a bit of shopping for some replacement parts and came across the nice billet reverse shifter (ssr?) and as it would expected, most of the companies offer a matching rear brake.

All the ones found say for those with "long" feet...The reverse shift thing will be fine, but I have far from big feet...lil size 8s to be honest...will this make the reverse shifters a horrible choice? Does anyone make a reverse shifter for normal to small feet? :)

Cheers!

some brands are different. no expeire with SSR as i have the motowheels version. i think its too long and needs to be shortened. i have size 7 feet.

BlackKat

can you give me a guesstimate on the length?

The SSR short shifter is the same as the Motowheels Short Shifter - both GP / Reverse shift pattern. Sized for use with factory rearsets and aftermarket rearsets with the most-forward position selected. Makes shift much more comfortable. My shoe size is 11US / 45EU.

He Man

arent they sized for SBKs not monsters?

The shorty ones?

Splines are all the same - length is all that matters. the shorty one works fine and is appropriate length for Monster rearsets - its design specifically for it. The standard length reverse shifters are too long for standard monster rearsets.

BlackKat

so the shorty is prolly alright for a monster rider with smurf feet and stock rear sets?

The best one ever made for a Monster, was made for the 749/999. It had the bend in it to clear the bodywork. Only took me a year to find this one.

Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

Ah, the legendary DSL2 from CycleCat.

I've looked fruitlessly for many moons for one of those.

I'm still working with a manufacturer to get one made that's similar. (Slingshot Racing, coincidentally...)
