manual vs. vac fuel cut-off

My vac fuel cut-off stopped working, left a nice puddle of fresh super unleaded in the parking lot. None are available in the US per my local Duc dealer. I was thinking of an in-line pet cock then plugging off the vac port. Thoughts?

You should have done it years ago. ;)

There are many inexpensive manual valves out there.

Is the vaccuum cut-off in the fuel pump?  There are a couple funky little plastic membrane valves in there.

Any you have used and what mounting locations did you use? No point in reinventing the wheel...

I have a Parts Unlimited 5/16" in and out right angle valve hanging under the tank.

I've seen the same valve mounted inside the airbox which resulted in a reachable location and a very sanitary install.
