On the PNW board, we have a thread where we post up when we spot a monster on the streets... I was in SF for the Memorial day weekend... and crikeys... it was non stop spotting of monsters... Keep up the good work people!! I love seeing all the Ducs out there. I only wish I had a bike last weekend, the weather was insane.   waytogo   [moto]

Thanks! Lots of Monsters here.

And let us know next time you come down. We'll do a bar night! And we can find you a bike to rent of some sort.

We used to have a "Monster sightings" thread and it just became ridiculous...there are SO many of them here.  I guess there are worse problems to have.  I hear a dry clutch at least a few times a day at work.  Many of those are Monsters.   waytogo

There was a quote from a marketing guy at Ducati that was interviewed for a magazine who talked about how Ducati sells more motorcycles in Nor Cal than anywhere else outside of Italy.
He concluded, "Stepping off a curb in San Francisco, you are likely to be run over by a Monster."   waytogo

He might have been making a comment on the lack of skill displayed by a lot of Duc riders, present company excluded of course.   laughingdp

+1-typically someone has a loaner bike or two.

And yes, our "spotted" thread was a waste.

The down side, everyone has a Ducati, so they are no longer seen as exotic.

My dad just bought a house in Sutro Heights area, so I hope to be in the area much more often.  Grin

He had a place at the Embarcadero, but no garage and no parking... makes for no fun... but it had a beautiful view of the bay...

The new place rocks... and I am trying to talk him back into a bike for riding around town... cheaper parking and what not... then I can borrow it when I come to town.   waytogo

Tell him to look us up: the last Thursday evening of every month at Zeitgeist. We'll talk him into it.
