Where to stay in / around Montreal

We're going up for an overnight (Mon / 21st) - finding accommodations
difficult to find downtown (F1 is this w/e I think, what the heck is going on 6/21?)

Got a favorite place to stay no one knows of, or outside city with easy access?

Clean, quiet, parking is all we need.
