Hi, am considering buying a 2002 Ducati S4 with Corse kit - first Ducati for me. Has been sitting under a cover for most of it's life - less than 1000 miles on it - unbelievable but true! Seems to have been started once a year since the initial miles went up. Realise I'm going to have to put new tyres on as well as doing the belts , replacing the battery and fluids. What concerns me is what else might have suffered from lack of use, eg seals gone hard, internal engine corrosion because coolant wasn't changed, etc. I like the bike but don't want to buy potential trouble - any advice appreciated. Was initailly after a S4RS but reckon the S4 would be a good introduction to the Monster world..

could take it to a local dealer and pay them a small fee to inspect it and/or even just talk to them first to get an idea. i did that with my duc purchase except it wasn't a situation to yours, just needed a routine check up
