Seems pretty stiff if their only issue was Reggie Bush and his improper dealings with agents. I'm no USC fan, but geez.

The Trojans will receive a two-year postseason ban, the loss of at least 20 scholarships and a possible vacation of victories according to the reports. In play, if the reports are true, are USC's 2004 national championship and Reggie Bush's 2005 Heisman.

Besides the loss of bowl eligibility and scholarships,

"USC will have to vacate wins in all games played by Bush after December 2004, which includes its 2005 national title win over Oklahoma and the entire 2005 season".

I'm Ok with the bowl eligibility and scholarship terms, but taking away their wins is lame. That punishes everyone on the team, even though they had nothing to do with it. USC was still a great team without Bush.

Yep. Only person that will be affected is Bush if they take away the Heisman and that's not even all that bad considering the millions he's making. Only party affected is USC and maybe they shouldn't have turned a blind eye.

Look at Ohio State. You don't think they cheat? Come on. They all do. OSU is good about it. Every few years they slap someones hand for accepting a gift and they move on. Keeps the NCAA happy.

I think the NCAA is now saying, no more free passes. Set USC as an example and make all the schools work at hiding it better.
