Sorry for the lack of HD!  I'm not meaning this to be a re-post, but just interested in thoughts about plug color-

I've got another thread going about hiccup at temp, but I am also thinking I'm running rich, and that it happened suddenly.  I noticed the exhaust starting to smell richer after the bike developed this funny hiccup at low RPM's in 1'st gear that is intermittent.  Any thoughts when looking at the plug color?

Looks OK to me.   [thumbsup]
Others might disagree.
If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you.  If you can't see Chuck Norris, you may be only seconds away from death.

the top plug looks like it is white on the porcelin insulator and whitish green on the ground.  which is good to leanish.  it's certainly not rich at all.

Awesome, thanks guys.

It's the same plug, BTW, just rotated.  One side it def. darker thatn the other.

might want to note how many miles on the plugs. If they are new and you have 30 miles, or if they have a couple thousand.

Look closley at the gap surfaces of the electrodes, if they are black (kinda looks like they are), I'd go ahead and replace them. Spark plugs are the cheapest part on your bike.

as others have said, looks fine and if anything a hair bit lean but nothing to be concerned about

I'm not sure how many miles, but I know at least a thousand, more likely 2 or 3k.  I think I'll throw some new plugs in for good measure, run them for a couple hundred and check again, but it sounds like everyone here thinks I'm good and the bike runs strong do I'm going to relax about it [thumbsup]

Thanks all [beer]
