Looking for an elusive part number...
«

I have searched everywhere called the dealers and all lead to naught...
I am looking for the part number to the small two hole inspection cover on the DP Magnesium alternator cover part number 96986308B it should have a part number cast or written or something on to the inside of it. I am beginning to think that instead of being made of magnesium it might as well be made of unobtainium...
Any help finding this number would be greatly appreciated

Nick

Unobtanium may be right. I have found that some parts come as part of a package. I needed the small aluminum cover on the throttle but would have had to order the complete throttle to get one. I lucked out and got a used complete throttle on ebay. I looked up the part number you mentioned and it looks like it comes as a package deal with the magnesium alternator cover. Good luck trying to find that one. What happened to the one it came with? Why not replace it with a nice custom billet one?
