ducati monster how can i take seat off n o key

as  you  can  see  got  bike  yesterday  waiting  for  keys  been  stood for  13yrs  so mans  having problems  finding  them  its  a  600  monster  1996  ....  how  do i  take  off  seat  with  no keys  ..  ilooked  underneath seat  when lifting  i can  see  a  wire  that  connects  to  jhelmet  lock  i  pull this  with  screwdriver  and it  moves  but  not  dar  enough  ....    am  i best  just to  remove seat lock  by the 2  screws on  the rear  of it  and  then  it  will come off..  thanks  in  advance

that wire, just pull it.. comes right up

you will see the lock is attached to a wire like ducatiz said. I think you can also unscrew the lock from the frame to get better access.
