Like a crack addict, Victoria saw a way of getting more money, More, More, MORE,
Gradually bring in more Cameras
Gradually lower the tolerance
Gradually raise the $$$$ value of fines

NSW is hanging out in the same back alley as the Victorian Government, watching as
Victoria is getting high on it's "supply" and now NSW wants some of the "Minimal
effort, Maximum return" action. Don't worry, Qld is in the same back alley taking notes!

Throw up a camera and watch the cash roll in.

And we let it happen, when we didn't Protest, When we didn't say anything to our government's
and say enough is enough!, Jam up the court system, refuse to pay fines, The general public let
this happen. Everyone stood around waiting for someone else to to "grow a pair" and say NO!
Weve had enough! The lies stop here!

If you have a drivers License, regardless of the fact you ride a bike, drive a car, drive a Truck.
Innocent people will get caught for the horrendous crime of being a couple of K's over the limit
and they will lose there license, all for the sake of revenue raising. It does not save Lives!!

Once again the Motorist is forced to Bend over because these Governments are broke due to gross
Mismanagement and waste.

Just remember it's 100 in Vic not 110! And don't speed past any vehicles pulled over on the side of the road.

yeah coming across the border I always back off - besides my HQ doesnt do warp speeds - the vehicle I have been travelling in to the island in recent times - funnily enough the speedo is pretty accurate for a 38 yr old vehicle.

this year however I will be on the Monster - but we will be heading down towards Mount Gambier and heading along the Great Ocean Road - so I will be doubly careful as I dont know where the  hide down there!

Much of it has already been covered above ... but it also mentions the increasing road toll in Victoria, related shootings in the US and the obvious safety issues we are always bleating on about.

Well it looks like the bloody media ( the same ones that we slag off at when we only get one side of the story) has jumped onto this one, even showing conflicting data from the people that are bringing in the new unmarked vehicles (NSW) and saying what we are saying, watching the speedo is not watching the road. I suppose a good example would be the introduction of speed limits in Northern Territory, the accident (and importantly, DEATH) rate went through the roof.

     Look, we are heading for a feral...er.. federal and state elections, we have a rare opportunity to have a say, so go rattle some pollies can, write a letter, or at the least sign a petition. Oh, and tell a mate to do something as well, we may never have a better chance at changing the way that we get treated.

    And if you have a negative view about this... I dont want to hear it, just mumble into your coffee like you normally do

Its like Deja Vu watching the same stuff unrolling North of the border. 

Every State (And I daresay, everywhere else!) that has introduced this sort of "Safety Thing" has gone through exactly the same public and media indignation over the cameras and the use of a private company to operate and administer the system, and maybe lack of transparency and accountability and blah, blah, blah............etc

And what was the result of all of it?? Naff all! 

Any Guvmint, of any persuasion, will milk a cash cow!! 

Dont get me wrong, I am NOT saying roll over and let it happen, but it WILL happen and civil disobedience by clogging courts and making the system work for you by making it so bloody expensive and difficult to process and collect these bullshit fines that they might start realising that it just aint working!! 

But I wont be holding my breath, but I wont be wearing the shit either! 

History has proven that this type of "Road Safety " initiative virtually anywhere on the planet just doesnt work!
