25mm front axle deminsions

i'm considering getting some wheels but will have to switch to a 25mm axle. what are the diameters of the axle? i need some other measurements, but one step at a time.

but seriously, depends on the axle. the 1198 axle has a 35mm end with the 25mm main part. most others are 30mm end with the 25mm axle. what bike do you have. which forks are you using?

r6 forks. so that's why i need the dimensions. left side is 25mm and the right is 28mm.

i'm runing to the shop today or tomorrow and will try to measure some for you to make certain. but i think if you look it the installing forks on the 696 in the tutorial the OP has the dimensions of the 696 25mm axle.

i can have my 28mm fork leg and have the hole bumped up a couple mills. i already had it done to the 25mm side which was originally 22mm.

according to pjfa post it's 30mm.

i didnt get a chance to measure at the shop, but i think that's right. had a shit fit the one day cause i had forgotten his post and had the wrong axle. well actually i thought the older SBK axles would be the same as the new one... it's not. the new one is 35mm outer!
