Stock S4R (I know sacrilegious), cannot yet decide on which system to fit.

On cold morning starts (it is winter in OZ), it will start and idle normally but after about 2 minutes the idle will become erratic and if the throttle is not held open, it will stall. You cannot really ride off yet as the temperature is still pretty low and it will stall if you roll off the throttle.

History: Bike has only done about 6,000klms, up until 1,000klms it kept on stalling when the temp got above 80C when coming to stop but everything else was right. At the first service this was fixed and then the above issue arose. Since then it has been back twice and without been sorted.

Any ideas Huh?

Base settings should be looked at; valve timing, valve clearance, TPS, throttle synch, CO and Co balance.  Then the operation of the engine management system should be looked at with the scan tool.

Finally had a chance to get the bike back to the dealer, after a week they decided to replace the ECU. Seems to be okay waytogo
