Got home after a ride and noticed some rough running. The bike ran flawlessly duing a quick blast up the local hills. Just some misfiring at idle as I pulled up.

While checking/testing for the problem found the general relay (5 pin next to the fuses) was working intermittently. Sometimes the bike would switch on, sometimes not ; making and breaking connection. Tracked it down and replaced it with a 10 buck auto store part. 15 years of vibration had taken it's toll. Then I noticed a flooding front carb. Some crud had got under the float needle. So I sorted that by drying the plug/cylinder and tapping the float bowl which reseated the float needle.

Cheeky bike.
