Smoke from clutch cover??

Hey guys. I was riding today.. in tons of stop and go traffic.. At one point i started to smell a slight hint of burning rubber. I assumned it was a car. When I smelled it again, it was a small trace of smoke coming from the clutch case?!??!?!? what the heck is that? please advise.

Could it be the gasket?

Take the clutch cover off and take a look. My wifes clutch spring retaining bolts loosened up once and rubbeb against the clutch cover and melted the gasket.
