Late Notice: Benefit Ride 08/28/2010 0900

Hey guys and girls of SoCal...

There's a benefit ride tomorrow morning, 28 August 2010, with on-site registration from 0900-1030 at Lifestyle Cycles (1534 N. State College Blvd, Anaheim).  $40/rider, $10/pillion -- proceeds benefit the Long Beach Widows & Orphans fund.  This is an annual ride for LBPD.   

The ride goes from Anaheim and finishes at The Gaslamp Restaurant & Bar (6251 E. Pacific Coast Hwy., Long Beach).

I'll be there, don't know about any other DMFers.  No 1%ers allowed for obvious reasons...  Last year they had a police escort and a helicopter & I would expect no less this year.  Speeds will probably be around 35-45mph.

I got a flyer and explanation from a buddy.  Always obliged to help out the po-po.  I even helped a femme CHP pick up some debris on the 91 Eastbound today.   

I'll be on my M696 Dark with a camouflage jacket.  Say "hi" if you show up.

Was a good ride, good turnout.  Several Ducati riders, but I believe I was the only one on a Monster.

Mounted officers blocked traffic and everyone pretty much stayed together (somewhere between 250-300 bikes, mostly Harleys).  We also had a helicopter along...
