glad to hear that you are relatively unscathed and not crippled, nothing broken and sounds like the  did a great job and with any luck the statements and the citation he got can be used in court to your favor, but that is for the lawyers to figure out.

In the grand scheme of things the situation probably turned out as perfectly as it could have went, considering all things.  sure the bike may be trashed but that is fixable.  Lucky that your body is not injured any more than it is, and that the proper documentation was done for the accident.

Totally agree with you, sbrguy.  There's always the the fear that the insurance company will be pregnant dogy, but considering the circumstances I am optimistic about the way this will go.

Also trying not to let this experience scare me away from motorcycling completely.  As much pain as I'm in, I'm riding in the car with my wife and every time we pass a rider I get excited and want to go for a ride!  But I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with it.  Time will tell, I suppose.

Very sorry about the idiot driver and your injured Duc...  But, you'll heal up and there are many, many more bikes out there!!!  Just one of you and I'm glad you're still around.

It's great that your here to tell the tale. If anything, this experience will help you in the future in some way. Riding is dangerous, but nothing can compare to it and the community that comes with it.
The situation was favorable (considering you just got hit) since the guy stuck around and admitted fault, so there's a silver lining!
