695 Clutch Engagement

Wondering if there is anyway to easily adjust the point (in grabbing the shift lever) that the clutch begins to engage.

On my 695 it is at the very end (the end being the place where the lever naturally rests) of the lever's pull.

To be clear, is there anyway I can adjust it so that the clutch engages the closer the level physically gets to the handlebar?

The answer is getting an adjustable lever. Any of the ATPC Clutch monsters (620 695 S2R 800 etc) all have a similar engagement point - just a fact of life. So either you can get used to it, or replace the stock lever with something from CRG, Pazzo, ASV etc.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

My 695 is the same with the stock levers.  I tried some CRG shortie adjustables and they allowed me to change the sweet spot,  but I ended up putting the stock levers back on  (the CRG's were just loaners) and like them better.  I like the fact that I only have to touch the clutch to disengage.  It makes shifting fast.  Anyway, you can't adjust the stock levers except for the nut that moves the the little magnetic ball closer or farther from the master cylinder.

damn looks like you just answered a Q i had about the clutch adjustment...
i also have a TL1000 (cable with barnett HD springs) and to be honest stepping onto my s2r 800 is ridiculous as the clutch is so damn light, however my main problem is that the clutch doesnt bite until the lever is almost fully released, i wanted to adjust that but it sounds as though i cant ???   without buying new levers...   am i wrong ???
