Saw a puddle of gas on the garage floor yesterday. Pulled the tank and the whole area in the rear where the fuel pump (?) is was wet with gas. Not sure if tank is cracked or a bad fuel line connection or who knows what. I am still in my warranty period so will trailer the bike in, but wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.

When pulling the fuel pump cover on mine, I had some issues. There is a stud that threads into an insert in the tank. The stud goes through the pump gasket and pump. The stud then goes through the tank cover, and then there is a nut that threads onto the stud to keep the whole thing on. When I went to go undo the nut, it backed the whole stud out, causing the seal to break with the gasket. Gas went all over the place until I quickly re-tightened the nut/stud. I haven't tackled that situation yet, but I'm wondering if anyone in the past has done any work on that area of your bike. It's possible the gasket isn't seated properly between the pump and the tank.
