Got my M400 back form overseas after a year in storage, filled the tank, hooked up the tender. She won't fire up. She cranks but doesn't kick. She's carb'd. I've done a couple throttle twists. Before packing her up, I had to run her dry.

What am I missing? Do I need to squirt fuel directly into the carb? Where can I look?

Check the fuel filter.

You have to use Japanese gas.  American gas will just clog the fuel lines.

But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Can I just splash some gas into the filter?

I'd check to see if there is fuel in the bowls.

Loosen the drain screws to find out.

If yes...you could try a squirt of gas or ether to see if it will fire.

If no...you need to find the blockage/restriction.

BTW...how's tricks?
