I have a drag bar that I am thinking of putting on the Monster, but instead of installing it with a backward sweep I am considering giving it a downward sweep. It SHOULD end up with a similar angle to clubman bars or some clip-ons I've seen.

My only concern is how much of an angle it may place the MCs at. Anyone have any personal experience with angled bars and how far is too far?

What kind of masters? I'm assuming you have coffins, If not then you can just level pee-cups out.

If you have remote reservoirs, the angel of the master cylinders doesn't matter.  You just have to make sure the piston has a constant supply of fluid.  If you have master cylinders that have the reservoir built in then you are more limited.  You'd need to pull the covers to see where the feed hole is for the piston and make sure the angle you mount the master in keeps fluid over that hole at all times so no air gets in.

Yeah, coffins. I'm going to try it out here soon and see what happens. I see these cafe bikes with absurdly tilted bars so I'm thinking the more mild bend I'm looking at should work.

I had clubmans on my Cb400F.  If I remember correctly the angle was approx 20*.  It looked very angled to the naked eye but operated fine.  Some issues were that it would seep a bit from the tilted corner and you had to tilt the bike to get the reservoir level to fill or bleed the sys.  Its not an optimal setup but it should work.  Get a remote reservoir system and angle the bracket.
