Engine Bumpy on idle (misfire)

Hey, I have a 2005 M400ie. When I start her, it fires up 99% of the time with no problems, but it doesn't really sound consistent when it's at idle. It sounds like every one in three, four or five beats it skips one, then turns over faster right afterward (I'm guessing fuel build up igniting) Is it all Ducati's? Surely not?! It also has a pretty poor throttle response under 3000rpm - it needs constant revs to stop it sinking under 3k and when it does it feels like an age between the twist and the revs. Is this a fuel/air problem or something bigger like vavles?

It sounds to me like your bike needs some service.

Your bike needs fuel injection adjustment, throttle body synch, and possibly the valves adjusted depending on mileage. I doubt your running problems are related to the valve adjustment.

Don't forget belts.

You should listen to brad black and invest in the software to adjust your injection and also in some synch guages/carb sticks. It doesn't sound like you have access to a qualified tech.
