I would say avoid the VHT stuff like the plague!

I was trying to paint my goldlines black and after multiple attempts with VHT stuff, i gave up. it bubbled up, peeled...that stuff is rubbish! I follewd their instructions to a "T"...

I took it to a local body shop, the guy that does thee estimates looked at it and said..."VHT, huh?" before I could even explain. They charged me $50.00 (much of which was due to the stripping of the VHT crap) to clean, prep and repaint in high gloss urethane black. Well worth avoiding that headache!

Just my experience...

Im almost positive you either a) got a bad can or b) didnt clean them properly.

90% of a paintjob is in the prep work. theres no reason caliper paint, made for caliper shouldnt work at all.

duplicolor makes a brush on version that seems more durable. just my 2cents. u can get a better build up and get it into thecorners better.

i had good results with VHT as well.
it was on car calipers, but it worked nicely.

I've had nothing but good luck with VHT.  I painted many of the parts on my cafe bikes with VHT and they came out beautiful.  Like another poster said, its 90% prep.  Sometimes you can get Duplicolor a bit cheaper.  Not sure if its the same paint but Duplicolor bought VHT.
